From Levanto to Framura

Between cliffs, beaches and ancient villages

Levanto, Bonassola and Framura boast a unique and continuous coastal stretch, which offers enchanting sea views and exciting summer itineraries.
Discovering the beauty of the coast is simple, thanks to a suggestive route along the route of the old nineteenth-century railway, which unites the three seaside villages of Levanto, Bonassola and Framura.

MAREMONTI CYCLOPEDONAL

It is the Maremonti cycle-pedestrian path: 5 km behind a beautiful sea, in a succession of ancient tunnels, illuminated and always pleasantly cool, and outdoors on enchanting views. Between one gallery and another, the view stretches between the blue of the sea, the cliff and its bush on one side, the profile of the hills and the picturesque Ligurian villas on the other.

It is nice to walk slowly, on foot or by bicycle, enjoying the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and taking advantage of the many panoramic points and the various opportunities it offers, including dives, walks and explorations among the villages. Thanks to the ladders and pathways that you meet along the way, those who want the sea will be able to discover and easily access the beaches and sandy or pebble coves of this stretch of coast, awarded this year with the prestigious Blue Flag.

DISCOVERING THE BAIE DEL LEVANTE

on the Maremonti cycle path

Taking the cycle / pedestrian route from the Levanto waterfront, in the Valle Santa area, after about 3 km you will emerge into the bay of Bonassola, with its wide beach and its pastel-colored houses.

You can relax by the sea or stroll through the streets of the ancient village while enjoying a delicious Ligurian focaccia, then return to the itinerary for another 3 km towards the village of Framura. Along the way you will encounter new privileged accesses to the sea and to the beaches: before entering the last tunnel that connects with Framura, the charming Porto Pidocchio is worth a detour.
It is a cove of lava stone, isolated and totally free, where those who practice climbing will also find a wall equipped for climbing.

A PATH

accessible to all

The Maremonti cycle path is a completely flat route, without danger and suitable for everyone: families with small children, strollers and the elderly. Those who wish to travel by bike can rent a bicycle at the various Levanto rental points.

PANORAMIC APERITIF AT THE SOSTA

On the way back, you will delight at the stop with a gourmet aperitif.
Immersed in the landscape and guided by the Sommelier, you can sip the best local wines paired with tastings of cheeses and other small Mediterranean delicacies. Distinctive element is the enchanting scenery: from its terrace, immersed in the greenery of the Levanto valley, there is a breathtaking view of the sea.

The aperitif, also open to outside guests, is served daily from 18.30 to 19.30. On the menu, a vast and precious card that includes the best vineyards of the 5 lands as well as a careful selection of the most renowned Italian wineries.
