The Cinque Terre is a Unesco World Heritage site where visitors can admire a unique dry stone wall terraced landscape worked by man through centuries, overlooking the sea as well as five marine villages:
THE CINQUE TERRE
One of the best ways to see the Cinque Terre is on foot.
The paths linking the various villages offer spectacular views of the cliffs, coasts and cultivated terraces.
Try The Cinque Terre Wine & Wall Trail, one of La Sosta’s off the beaten track trekking suggestions..
Remember, each town has a railway station and you can visit the other towns by hopping on the train and return to Levanto or Monterosso once you have finished.
This is a very special experience:
viewing the Cinque Terre and the Ligurian Riviera from the sea allows you to discover the full beauty of the pastel coloured villages as well as the impressive man made landscape surrounding them.
Rent a boat with Skipper Marco Scaramuccia or join him for a day excursion, minicruise or night boat experience.
In season weather permitting, ferries run regularly every day from Levanto to Porto Venere and dock at all of the Cinque Terre Villages, except for Corniglia.
A timetable is available in the guest’s room book at La Sosta.
