It has been said that the Cinque Terre winemaker “is a sort of modern and everyday hero, who, by continuously restoring the dry-stone walls, draws a living from the vineyard giving life to the territory”.  

We have created a wine list which we believe brings together our area’s – Levanto, Cinque Terre and the Val di Vara – best producers.

Our Sommelier will be happy to select and suggest the best wines for the menu of the day through which one can fully appreciate the most authentic flavours of this tiny part of the world.

The cornerstone of good food is the quality of the ingredients and  working closely with selected local producers is a core component of our Kitchen’s approach.

The use of local high quality ingredients allows La Sosta Kitchen to employ a “simple” preparation technique, which will not overwhelm the core ingredients, but will in fact enhance their characteristics.

Cooking Jam Session

A moment of culinary freedom! … based on the guests’ knowledge just as much as the Chef’s experience.

Customized cooking “jam session” with Chef & Sommelier Luca Palmero Scatena at La Sosta Kitchen where guests can pre-agree with the Chef the content and length of a cooking session based on experience and interests.

The Kitchen serves a traditional breakfast based on a selection of local products and is served daily between 8:30 and 10:00 am

Guests can typically choose:
coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, fresh orange juice, bread, butter, jams, honey, sweet or savory cake prepared by the Kitchen, focaccia, a selection of local cheeses, muesli, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit.

The price per person is:
18 € for adults
9 € for children under 12

We have therefore created a wine list which we believe brings together our area’s – Levanto, Cinque Terre and the Val di Vara – best producers.

From the Cinque Terre you will find the wines of Walter De Battè, Bartolo “Cheo” Lercari and his wife Lise, Luciano Cappellini, Rosy and Sebastian of the Azienda Agricola Vetua.

From the Levanto Valley we prefer the “passiti” – sweet dessert wines – from both white and red grapes, which compete with honour with the Cinque Terre’s more famous “sciacchetrà”.

From the Val di Vara come the wines of the Azienda Prima Terra, again produced by Walter De Battè, and those of Ivano Denevi and Gianluigi Careddu.

The wine list is offered both by the bottle and by the glass. Our Sommelier will suggest the best wines for the menu of the day through which one can fully appreciate the most authentic flavours of this tiny part of the world.
